We aim to provide a safe, friendly and unique venue for you to run your heart out.  This event is more about fun with no pressure.  Whether you are using this as training or to try and gain a personal best we will support your with an environment filled with fun, laughter & heaps of knowledge.  It is now designed to help & encourage new people into this sport.  Offer assistance & advice if asked, or if shown to need it. I encourage everyone to have fun, enjoy the surroundings, enjoy others around you.  Most importantly – share your time with other happy people.

Everyone is welcome no matter your pace or size, come along, bring your friends & family for it is a safe place.

Minimum age for all events other than 10km is 16. 10km event is for 9-15 year olds only.

Are you presently taking any prescribed medication? If yes, please detail all your medication & the reason you are taking it. Is your doctor aware you are intending to enter this event? A letter from your doctor stating their approval of your entry & into which event must accompany your entry by either scanning to email or in the post.  If known to be on any prescribed medication & you do not supply the above you will not start.  The sole purpose of this is so we can supply this information to first responders if something goes wrong and you are unable to convey this information yourself.

Any person under the age of 18 years must have written consent from their parent or guardian to participate in an event, furthermore the signing parents or guardians must stay trackside for the entire time they are competing.

Race walkers entering any event must walk at all times & MOVE FROM THE CENTRE OF THE TRACK WHEN ASKED. Non-compliance with race officials’ instructions will result in competitors being removed from the event and banned from continuing to compete.

Rules allowing faster competitors to pass on the inside of the track must be followed.

The 100k event must be completed within the 12hours. If you do not complete 100k in the 12hrs your distance will still be recorded. If no one completes the 100k’s in the 12hrs, there will be no awards.

 

Event details

 

Hosted at the Toogoolawah Showgrounds (see map below) – the course will consists of a 1km loop.  Competitors and Crew may enter the showgrounds from midday Saturday.  Feel free to set up your site anywhere around the track.  If you bring your vehicle into the showgrounds please be aware that under NO circumstances can any vehicle be moved on or near the track after 5:30PM Saturday until after 6AM Sunday.  Attempting to move a vehicle within the vicinity of the event will be reason for your removal from the venue and event.

Please be aware – COVID rules stipulate there is to be no sharing of drink cups or tabled food – therefore, you will need to bring all hydration and nutritional requirements for the duration of the event.  There are taps around the track for refilling your bottles.

Electronic timing will be used for all events – arrive before 5:30pm to have enough time to collect and a-fix your timing device. We will have a live display at the start/finish displaying your current distance and laps as well as live online results.

Relay team members must run their allocated time before changing. Chips will need to be swapped at a timing mat as directed. Eg. A 6 hour 3x2hr relay team of 3 people must each run 2 hours straight before changing.

12hour relay teams choose when they wish to change & as often as they wish, with only ONE competitor on the track each time

MP3 players are allowed. However please ensure MP3 players are quiet enough to hear race instructions over the PA and runners approaching from behind.

Presentation for all timed events will be held approximately 20-30 minutes after the event finishes. Individual presentations for distance events will be shortly after each placed competitor finishes.
