Bribie Beach Bash
25 Nov 2018 @ 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM
After 18 years we’ve unfortunately had to change our course this year due to concerns over the safety of our runners on the beach road.
Looking to keep the event going we’ve decided on a course at the southern end of Bribie Island. This venue will offer better facilities and we hope the course will offer the same challenges. Unfortunately we won’t be offering the longer distances like we have previously but still have distances up to half marathon.
All events are out and back, all are on the same course with turns at your respective turn marker. The course will take you from the golf club down on to the beach at Woody Bay and turn right toward Red Beach. The longer events will turn up from the beach on to the inland tracks to their respective turn around and then head back to the start finish.
The race has a no cups policy – you must bring and carry your own water bottle, there will be water containers at each turn marker for you to fill your bottle if needed.
All events have a strict 10am cut off time.
Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female. Presentations will be conducted as soon as possible after all of the winners are in. We know you’ll all want to get away quickly but please, if you know you have a podium finish can you please stay around for presentations as it makes for a better experience for everyone.
This year we are again supporting our farmers with funds raised donated to Aussie Helpers.
We have Bribie Island Golf Club on board and allowing us to use their facility for our start/finish line this provide you with a great experience on the day. For those that want a weekend away they can also provide accommodation at the Fairways Resort, the contact details for the golf club are below.
We have council, parks and the Golf Club on board for the new venue and course but are still waiting for final written permission/permits etc. We will open registrations as soon as we get that.
