19th Annual Bribie Beach Bash

This iconic running event is now in its 19th year.  Choose one of 5 distances from a gentle 3km stroll through to a Half Marathon on the spectacular Bribie Beach.  There is an event for every member of the family.

As always, the date is chosen to coincide with a very low tide allowing you to run on the hard flat sand at the water’s edge. The beach itself is hard sand lightly pebbled in places with a few shallow creek/water crossings.

So easy, so fun, so beautiful. So see you all there! Come one come all to this great morning of fun running the beach in Paradise.

The event is cheap to enter as it is run with proceeds being given to our beneficiary AUSSIE HELPERS DROUGHT APPEAL. A 3% administration fee will be added to your entry to enable us to forward as much as possible on. Thank you for understanding. It is an affordable day out for the family with plenty of fun.

Family discount of 15% is available for families of 2 adults and up to 4 children living at the same address.

Race-walkers and runners welcome in all events.

All events are out and back, starting and finishing in the grounds of the Surf Club.  Competitors head down onto the beach and turning toward their turn ight, heading down to their turn around markers, where they will turn & head back the same way to the surf club.

The Half Marathon only competitors on hitting the beach will turn north (left) heading up 3k’s where they will turn coming back the same way till they reach their turn around marker, then head back the same way to the surf club.

The race has a no cups policy – you must bring and carry your own water bottle, there will be water containers at each turn marker for you to fill your bottle if needed.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female with presentations to start at around 8:45am and conclude before 9:30am.  We know you’ll all want to get away quickly but please, if you know you have a podium finish can you please stay around for presentations as it makes for a better experience for everyone.

There is a strict 9:30am cut off time for all events to allow us to pack up and move on before the Surf Club opens to the public.

This year we are again supporting our farmers with funds raised donated to Aussie Helpers.
